![]() Up to The AcqWeb International Directory of Email Addresses Last updated: |
These pages are maintained by David Marshall of Georgetown University, Associate Editor of AcqWeb. The Email Directory is maintained for the benefit of the library community, in particular, acquisitions, serials and collection development librarians. The aim is to provide a register of email addresses for communication with publishers, vendors and associate resources. Included are addresses for general inquires, for ordering, for requesting sample issues, etc. Also included are direct links to WWW on-line inquiry, order, and other useful forms - look for the WWW Order form, WWW Inquiry form, etc. entries. Additionally, links to on-line staff directories have been added. Look for the annotation "WWW Staff Directory." For example, see this entry under Blackwell North America, Facts on File, or Yankee Book Peddler. With the May 2003 update, the Email Directory contains over 6700 entries providing access to over fourteen thousand email links and WWW forms. The AcqWeb Email Directory includes links to every continent except Antarctica. Since September 1998, all newly added links have been added live. Listees are no longer asked to confirm their address. Each entry will receive a mail notice that they are being added to the Email Directory. If the message does not bounce it will be considered live. As always, please continue to report outdated disfunctional email addresses.
The icon, Another useful feature of this directory is the EXPRESS ACCESS index guide. It follows the Introduction and appears at the end of the individual alphabetic sections. By clicking your mouse over the letter corresponding to the section of the file you wish to access, you will immediately move to that section of the file. A Return to EXPRESS ACCESS selection has been placed at the end of each section of the file. Together these two tools will make moving within the file easier and quicker. Please note, if you click on a section of the file that is still in process of being loaded, your software may bounce you back to the head of this file. If your browser can interface fully with the AcqWeb browser, you can send e-mail directly to publishers, etc. from this page without switching to your regular e-mail software. To do this, most likely you will have to set your mail preferences before sending a message from AcqWeb. Check with your local systems office for assistance. This is YOUR directory. Since email addresses are subject to change without notification, some of these addresses may have been replaced and/or discontinued. For the benefit of all, please report any undeliverable addresses to the editor. Also, if anyone is aware of an address that is not listed, please do not be shy about submitting them. All suggestions are welcomed! AcqWeb's editors would be delighted if any of the linguistically talented in our midst would care to volunteer to translate more of our site into other languages. If interested, please contact either of us at: marshald@georgetown.edu or leiserson@library.vanderbilt.edu Thanks go to all the publishers, vendors, and related professional associations, organizations and services who have responded to our inquires about their addresses. To those who are not on this list, who wish to change addresses, or who want to upgrade their entry with a confirmed live link please send email to the address below. Your participation is very much welcomed! |
