ACQNET is a managed or edited listserv, which aims to provide a medium for acquisitions librarians and others interested in acquisitions work to exchange information, ideas, and to find solutions to common problems. It started with a group of 25 librarians in December, 1990 and, as of January 2001, has over 1700 subscribers. The current editor is Eleanor Cook (Appalachian State University Library), who is assisted by an editorial board. ACQNET and AcqWeb were affiliated in early 1995, providing complementary Internet resources. For more information, please see ACQNET's Welcome Message.
